Raised in Wyoming, I learned to love the outdoors, sports, and an easy going western lifestyle.  I relocated to Boise 23 years ago and really enjoy the weather (better than Wyoming...), the people, and lifestyle Idaho has to offer.  I have been blessed with many exciting outdoor experiences during my time on this beautiful planet.  My experiences include, jumping from a plane, more than once, (fairly) successfully navigated class 4+ rivers all over the state, most notably, the Middle Fork of the Salmon 10 times. I learned technical climbing in my youth culminating with an ascent of Devils Tower in Wyoming.  I have also had the opportunity to fly upside-down in a bi-wing stunt plane, photograph from a helicopter, and land on remote airstrips in the back country numerous times.  Above all this was finding my true love and helping to raise her wonderful son for the last 15 years. (my kitty Smudge and puppy Drew Barrymore rock too!!)

My first interest in photography came in 7th grade, borrowing a friend’s camera, and learning to develop black and white film. I loved photography, but lost it while in high school do to sports and girls. (mostly sports...) We maintained an on and off relationship for many years, but when my son got into sports, about 10 years ago, and with the blossoming of the digital age, it had come time to get back to what I love.  My photographic journey had come full circle.  As my need for an adrenaline rush has subsided, my family, the beauty of the country I see everyday and the people that live here, inspire me and my photography to new heights.  My “focus” now is to learn, improve and deliver the best images possible every time I pick up the camera or sit down at the computer dark room.

I hope looking through my portfolios, you can share in my love for the photographic image!  Next time you need to “capture the moment”, think MoodyImages.
